Engine 8

Engine 8 is a 2004 Seagrave Marauder II with a 2000 GPM Hale pump with seating for up to 8 firefighters. Engine 8 is equipped to handle many types of incidents from various types of fires to vehicle accidents. The engine is furnished with two(2) 200FT. 1‰ = attack lines (one smooth bore nozzle and one combination nozzle), one(1) 100FT. 1‰ = trash line (TFT automatic nozzle), one(1) 200FT. 2‰ ? attack line (smooth bore nozzle), one(1) 3IN. blitz line (also doubles as a leader line), 1400FT. of 5IN. supply line, and a 10FT. front intake. Engine 8 also has a Hurst combination cutter/spreader tool accompanied by four(4) step chocks, one(1) crate of 2x4‚s, and three(3) crates of 4x4‚s all for vehicle stabilization. Engine 8 is due for all building fires and fire alarms in Ridley Park, Tinicum Township, and Norwood. The engine assists the Leedom and S.M. Vaulclain Fire Co.‚s with RIT for all building fires. Engine 8 is also dispatched for all vehicle fires, accidents (with and without entrapment), wires, brush and trash fires, gas leeks (in and outside) and CO alarms in Ridley Park. It is also supplies coverage to Stations 4, 11, 45, and 74. The Engine carries all types of tools to handle any type of incident it comes across. Here are some tools that can be found on Engine 8:
